Situated at the rear of the Cairns Youth Centre, 129 Mulgrave Road, the Cairns  Kansuiryu Karate Dojo is fully equipped with punching bags, weights and a padded floor area. Day and evening classes are held throughout the week for children and adults with additional times available for fitness and weight training. The Dojo has a solid core of junior, intermediate and senior students with a growing number of practitioners having attained the level of 1st Dan Black Belt, four others attaining 2nd Dan Black Belt and Shihandai Mal Floyd achieving his 3rd  Dan Black Belt.

In 2003 Moriyama Sensei began classes at the Koah Hall near Kuranda. Response was strong and the training was extended to a further day at the CWA Hall in Kuranda itself.

Dozens of students have been selected for sponsored visits to Japan for training and competition, and the Cairns and Kuranda Dojos are visited annually by senior Japanese instructors.
